Training and Emotional Wellbeing

It is amazing how exercise can impact ones attitude. I slightly sprained my ankle on Sunday and was off the road for four days. Maybe something else was going on as well, but I was a mess. I felt down, was unproductive at work, and had a short fuse with my kids. I managed an eight mile run (on snow encrusted roads) this morning, and it seems like all that is behind me.

But then, maybe it is just Friday.

Word.

An hour a day keeps the doctor and the shrink away. And the type of exercise really doesn’t matter.

yup.

I am not sure the corollary of emotional well being is to become a “mess” because from a minor, ancillary set-back.

I cannot go more than 3 days without it. Endorphins, adrenaline, and my love of suffering on the bike.

I know what you mean. I got attacked by a pine cone and rolled my ankle last week. Being able to run again makes life so much better.
