I just finished my first Tri season and am gearing up for my second marathon in March. I am determined to improve my cycling performance during the winter and am about to purchase a 1upUSA trainer. As much as I want to incorporate a few days a week on the trainer, I am concerned about whether or not this will help or hinder my marathon training. I ran a 3:50 last year and am aiming for a 3:30 this year.
I live in the heart of Hollywood (an oxymoron, i know!) so it’s sometime difficult to get miles in on the run and the bike because of traffic.
(As an aside, I thought I was a pretty good cyclist before my triathlons. I’ve since been humbled tremendously! My credit card is trembling with the impending purchase of a new tri bike!)
