TrainerRoad update. Crappy update

Hopefully the powers that be at TrainerRoad will see this post. Your app update is an absolute joke and crap. You took a well functioning interface and turned it into something more difficult to use. Ever hear of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it??? Way to go guys.

There’s definitely a greater chance they’ll see a complaint at the Trainerroad Forum.

I didn’t have as strong a reaction as you, but I agree it isn’t an improvement. Selecting a workout, for instance, requires more clicking than before. If I just want to do a 90-minute ride that is in the ‘achievable’ zone, it’s multiple clicks to set up all the filters.

It kind of feels that, like so many companies, it wants to shove AI down our throats.

Yup. It’s ok to have strong opinions especially on non political topics lol  this update sucks

I agree. It’s more challenging to find the workout I want.

I complained at first and laughed with a couple friends. But TBH, after a few weeks, I do not notice it. The new UI works fine for me. It may actually be easier to find workouts, depending on the path of my searches. But now that I am on a plan, all that is moot.

I too like the new system

What I would like to see is it recommend what type of plan to get the highest possible predicted FTP

As it is now you go in and change level of intensity number of hours etc

I just want the simple workout library where I’m able to filter by length, category, etc and scroll and find my favorite workout. They tried to get too fancy with “AI” and got rid of their most basic function

Just here to agree with you. I don’t have a history on the TR forum, so I feel dumb posting there. I even emailed support to ask, why tf is the AI only giving me predicted ‘easy’ workouts? Because having to go in and manually increase the difficulty of every single ride is absurd. I’m in the middle of an Ironman build and the AI also has decided that my weekend rides should be 60-90 minutes, easy. Pre-update, I was (predictably) in a 3-4 hour range. Their customer service agent I was assigned is using ChatGPT-style responses and trying to tell me that the AI is right. Super aggravating.

Just disappointed, and relieved I never changed my subscription from monthly to annual. If it doesn’t markedly improve by the end of this billing cycle, I’ll just move to self-coaching.

Yeah. I used TrainerRoad to get easy long spinning workouts for when I’m watching a movie or TV series. I just want to filter by duration and pick an easy long workout. If I want to work out hard, I live in Southern California and can go outdoors to ride up a mountain or something.
