I clocked in a 25 hour training week once on the trainer. My all time record, I did a 5 hour ride with out stopping on the trainer. I averaged 200watts and 145 heart rate. Is anyone else clinically insane like me?

Was that before or after your head injury?
Christine Clark. She’s about as nuts as you are.
OLY marathon winner from 2000? I think. Lives in Anchorage Alaska and did the majority of her training on a tredmill. Not 25 hours I’m sure, but to log marathon training month after month is nuts. 2:33:xx winning time.
I can’t handle it. I’ve made 60min a few times this year… thats it.
Saul,
We just wished we were as dedicated as you.

My ass is sore just thinking about it.
The 5hour trainer ride was before in 2003 when I broke my collar bone for the 4th time. 25hours a week was after the accident.

Incredible dedication! I’ve never been able to handle longer than 3 hours on a trainer - even that was a stretch.
I have a hard time clocking 3 hours – and that’s *with *‘Star Wars’ on the DVD player. Good thing I live in Texas and the “winters” here are really short.
Nutso … i refuse on principle to do more than an hour at a time. Are you a “24” fan? If not, get season one post haste. Those long trainer riders will pass fast.
I have done 6 hours on the trainer (with a group of 4 people) due to a late season snow storm during IM training, I also have done the spinervals “hardcore 100” 3 or 4 times which is about 5h40m. But I never did more than maybe 8 hours on the trainer in a given week. 25 a week is nuts.
