Trainer. risers. and hills

I just did my first group rides and was dropped the minute we hit the hills outside of the SCV. I’m terrible on hills although I occasionally have a decent climb.

I usually have one indoor session per week using Spinervals, in addition to my run swim and road sessions.

Will adding another block from Cyclops help to engage slightly different muscle fiber?

I usually try to raise the front by a few extra inches for indoor hill workouts for the exact reasons you just mentioned. The hillacious spinerval video works pretty well, also, I try to do some quality each week on hill outdoors. I was in the same boat as you a year ago, now I ride away from most people on the hills.

It makes it easier to climb out of the saddle on the trainer. If you are sitting it seems more psychological than anything. But why not just try it and see if it works for you?
