I am looking at getting a new trainer. I have narrowed my choices down to the Cylcops or Kut Kinetic fluid trainer. My question is would either one of these trainers be better for a big guy, 6’2", 240lbs?
Ive got the kurt kinetic and love it, works great, 6 foot 230lbs
.
Thanks, can you tell me what the difference between the standard 3 lb and the heavy duty 6lb flywheel is?
I dont know, but I went with the heavy duty version, I found mine on ebay for I think about 220 bucks, plus they have a separate wattage computer that you can buy for 50 bucks although I dont have one all the others dont have that option.
There ya go:

As for the heavier flywheel, it spins longer after you stop pedalling than the lighter one afaik. That is, yields a more -‘roadl like’ feel.
Cheapest I’ve found them was on ebay for $275 w/ free shipping and a Spinverval DVD. Seems fair to me!

Thanks for the info, I’m going to go with the heavy duty. And I think I’ll add the computer also since it is for my husband for our anniversary. Thanks again for your help!
