Trails in Louisville

Anyone know of any good running trails in Louisville, KY?

There are plenty of trails in and around Cherokee and Seneca Parks. Some are marked and some are not, so I just go out and get lost for a while. You can’t ever get to far away in that area. There is a nice 2 mile loop through Joe Creason Park but this one gets pretty nasty when it rains. There is probably some trails in Iroquois Park but I have not been out there for a long time.

No real trails at Iroquois Park but Jefferson forest on the south side of the city is hard. Ck out this link for a race held there:

If you are north of the city there are some trails along the Knobstone, here is a link to a map:

Have fun!

  1. Seneca and Cherokee, where I do most of my running.
  2. Jefferson Memorial, fairly difficult though.
  3. Berheim Forest, a little further south than Jeff Memorial. Millenium Trail is a 14 mile loop, also fairly difficult. Alot of other shorter trails there though too.
