Last Saturday I ordered a Zipp 808 2008 model clincher. The wheel that was sent to me was a tubular. I’m scheduled to return it to the company on Monday for a refund. They didn’t have what I actually ordered even though their website said they did.
I don’t have a lot of confidence that I’ll be getting my money back anytime soon although that was the verbal agreement on the phone. It’s just a gut feeling but frankly I’m afraid if I send it back I’ll still be looking for my refund months from now.
So here’s the deal. Does anyone have a new or lightly used front CLINCHER to trade? I’d like either a Zipp 404,808, Flashpoint 800, Sram 80 or HED 900.
I paid $776.24 for this wheel so if you don’t have anything to trade buy me a Sram 80 or Flashpoint 800 at the best price you can find and we can trade… even Steven.
To be honest I trust doing business with the guys on Slowtwitch more than I do this shop. I’m afraid they will tell me after I return it that because it was a “close out” it’s too bad for me.
If it matters this brand new wheel has “Special Edition for Felt” on it in addition to the regular decals. Maybe this was pulled off
a Felt bike I don’t know, but it is new and in perfect condition.
