I am curious, now that some of our snow might actually melt this weekend, are there any public tracks that people use in Minneapolis?? I live right near the Breck school, but I am a relative newcomer to Minneapolis and I am not sure how it works around here. Any suggestions??
I would suggest calling the closest high school, and asking what their track policy is. Many high schools have “open use” when sports teams are not practicing. I am on the other side of town, but I use the Tartan High School track.
I haven’t run there in awhile, but the run club out of the now Life Time fitness near there used to do track work at the Benilde-St. Margaret’s track just down Hwy 100 from you…

I didn’t even know that place was there. I am a little leery of using the Breck track even though its right down the street because it is a private school and I think with there $18,000/yr tuition they probably don’t want the public using their facilities.
It’s up to $22,000 and BSM is about half that, so they can’t be as snooty about their track.
