I carry 2 on race day but only because I have plenty of room for 2TPUs. I’d otherwise carry just one - if I flat more than once, it majorly sucks but I can live with that. Fortunately TPUs are so small I could carry 3-4 in the space of the 1 butyl tube I used to carry.
Update: TPUs purchased…this pic shows the new TPU packed down vs an old latex tube packed down…which is smaller/lighter than a butyl. I think I’ll carry one for 70.3 and shorter…and 2 for 140.6
So I saw this (courtesy of reddit, of course) and I am trying to figure out what exactly this means. Can any of you cool kids out there explain this to me? ![]()
Ha, I saw that exact same chart on another topic. I am a data analytics person, and I think that chart was made by a moron. It makes no sense.
Its a meme about how the ‘smartest’ and ‘dumbest’ (tails of the normal distribution) think alike whereas the ‘unenlightened’ masses think narrowly.
I saw this on reddit too and it doesn’t quite fit, but generally the meme format goes like this, using golf as an example:
low iq: just hit the ball towards the hole.
average iq: You must use the right club with the right angle and put just enough spin on the ball to make it hook 10 degrees around the fairway.
high iq: just hit the ball towards the hole.
So in terms of the tubes meme, I think the idea is that there are situations where tubes are fine or preferred to the ‘enlightened’ crowd.
Excellent explanation. Thank you.
