Tour of California - Roadside overnight camping on Mulholland or vicinity

Okay so on the TOC website the only stage that has explicit roadside spectator prohibitions are is friday’s stage 6 Palmdale to Big Bear.

Does anyone know for sure if overnight parking/camping is permitted on the final stage up in the Santa Monica Mountains?

Last year it was never posted that people were permitted, but we camped on the side of the road with no issues on Mt. Palomar.

Anyone have any insight?

Hi, I rode the loop today up past the Rock Store, near the top on Mullholland there was already 3 or 4 RV’s parked up must be there for Sunday as you don’t normally get them just sitting there like that, plus a highway patrol car went past me and so he would have seen them but didn’t stop and check them out so maybe you can park up there but not on the road these RV’s were parked in pull in area’s, but you will have to be quick as there arn’t too many spots to park up on Mullholland to Kanan, after the road goes over Kanan there is some more area’s to park up but not too much. Certainly nothing on Decker where they come down. Hope this helps, Cheers Rob

okay great thanks for this info. My plan is to take my wife and newborn up and park my VW Westfalia on the side of the road - it does not need as much space as an RV, just the space of a car. If you see this van stop by and say hello.
