Tour of Cali

Next Tuesday the ToC finishes on mt diablo. Anybody have hint what time they might be hitting S. Gate Road?

Certainly, you mean the Tour of California? It’s not Cali - that’s a city in Colombia.
Have you checked the ATOC website?
They usually post logs in the stage sections that show expected times at three different racer speeds.
Probably the best estimates you’ll get.

Road’s close at 2 to all traffic and 2:30 at Athenian school as I understood the spectator pdf they conveniently posted on their site…

Thanks. I think I’ll try to park at Macedo Ranch and run to the Ranger Station. Or park at bottom of N. Gate and run from there.

Unless you go early it will be tough to park anywhere nearby. I plan to ride from a reasonable distance out.

True enough. I was hoping to turn it into a long run, but riding from Walnut Creek up N. Gate is probably a better plan.

Dombrowski.

If you’re in the Berkeley/Oakland area, there’s going to be at least 1 big group heading out that way. It will make for a long day, but should be fun. For anyone who’s interested I’ll dig out the details and post them.

Tomorrow’s Mt. Hamilton and Mt. Diablo stage is going to be brutal with the heat! 108 miles, 11K of climbing, and they’re predicting 100 degrees in the East Bay/Livermore area.

Heat and headwind all the way there. We’ll probably go out Mines. They go almost by my friend’s house off Tesla. Can’t wait!!
