Touch up on cervelo

Hi, A little help needed is possible.
I have an S5 in black that has had a good scrape down the BB by a dropped chain. Anyone who has a cervelo will know how poor the paint job is. I would like to repaint and lacquer the area, it doesn’t need to be perfect but I would like it close.
Can anyone recommend the best type of paint and lacquer to use? Is a nitro-cellulose based paint?
I have a set of micro-mesh so should be able to buff the lacquer to the right shinyness.

Thanks!

I have nothing to add, but I find these two statements incongruous.

Really? Why?

I have owned 4 cervelos over the years and find their paint jobs awful, they clearly have very thin lacquer (presumably to save weight) and chip and scratch very very easily.
The damaged caused by the dropped chain is considerable, it ripped off a large section of the paintwork. I dropped many chains on my giant and it never did that!

I think they have re-addressed this issue somewhat with the new mat finishes.
Either way, I’m not having a gripe at cervelo, its a great bike, I just should have been more careful!

Can you post a photo of the scrape?
