Torpado bike - familiar with this company?

I have a Torpado bike I bought from a friend (my first road bike). It’s probably about 20 years old. I understand the company is out of business. I also understand that the bikes are Italian made.

Does anybody know anything more about this brand of bike? I’m very interested in knowing more about it.

I had one about 20 years ago also, no information but they were a good steel bike at the time. Was in the moderate to expensive price range for the frame.

I had one, too! It was my first Italian frame bike…steel, comfortable, a little flexy, had a pearlescent yellow paint job with chrome accents. I thought it was a good bike back then…just good, classic Italian workmanship and geometry. I got it back from my brother last year with the intention of rebuilding it, but, it had been so abused by his sons that it was beyond salvage.unless that person has some sort of heart desease, the heart is not the weak link and will respond to whatever demands that individual is able to place on it.
