How else do you explain this bullshit?

.
It sounds like the kid wasn’t violent in nature, handed the teller a note about his sick mother and the teller was sympathetic rather than scared. This is very strange, but what would you suggest we do instead - lock him up for ten years. I know that’s the Stephen Harper/Cons approach, but I think the judge cut the kid some slack only charging him with theft. Probably the best decision providing this kid had no previous history of criminal activity.
the ruling is bullshit and you know it.

Your criminals are pitiful, but sweet I guess.
No I don’t know it. I’ll bet this kid will never do anything like this again. Would it have been better to lock him up in prison for a few years at tax payers expense and then have him come out of the pen as a hardened criminal?
and you’re speculating. Fact, the dude had big enough cajones to walk into a back and say “this is a robbery”. He ain’t the angel you want him to be. The ruling is 100% bullshit and it’s ramifications go well beyond what you clearly can not comprehend.
What is it that you dough heads in Alberta don’t understand about how locking everybody up for the slightest little thing isn’t going to work. Even prison authorities in Texas have been telling our Harper/Con government not to pursue this route. But then we had idiots like Stockwell Day, etc, in the Harper government still wanting to pursue this avenue.
and what you dolts in center of the universe don’t understand is the idea of upholding the rule of law in at least a symbolic matter. You know, like 1 day in jail, or community service or some other symbolic gesture of hey, you can’t do this kinda shit. But nnoooooo, liberal dipshit judge decides to throw out the play book and pretend he’s an elected official.
This ruling is 100% bullshit.
"This ruling is 100% bullshit. "
Tell it to the judge. ![]()
OK, I’ll agree that he should have got community service or a day in jail or something, so I definitely see your point. I was thinking more in terms of charging him with a genuine serious crime.
