What is the point/benefit of having a top tube that is at a slight angle? There are some bikes that have that angle and some that don’t.
For example, the Cervelo P2K has a top tube parallel to the ground, BUT the Soloist’s and R2.5 Carbon’s top tube in angled.
Why?
On his own website, Cobb has now changed his mind about aero seat posts and feels that they may offer a slight advantage to riders with skinnier legs but not to riders with thick legs.
Seems that there was also something that he felt the sloped top tube might be a detriment from an aero perspective.
Beats me when you consider Luc VanLierde won IM Kona in 1999 with fastest bike leg on a Giant TCR compete with aero aero seat post.
Personally, it seems to me that a lot of this aero stuff is still a big unknown
