Nice. That’s part of a section of PCH I stopped riding in the last couple years (Pier to cross creek)
Saturday was gorgeous. And that was Alice’s Restaurant, but I don’t think it was the one Arlo sang about (ETA - nope, wikipediazed it, the real one’s in Mass somewhere). Ate there a few times with my dad growing up
And I have to laugh, your blog post from Oct, thought I recognized the car, that’s a buddy of mine, and yes, he is way too trusting, or naive. He’s English, maybe that’s the problem. He is always leaving stuff in the bed of his truck. he usually has a lock on the fork altho doesn’t look like it there. Granted, 9 am Sunday morning in playa at a tri before the Sunday hordes come. If you’re gonna leave it unlocked, I guess that’s the place to do it
I’m very, very glad to hear that he still has the bike!
And PCH is a really gorgeous ride. When I’m not nursing an injury, I like to ride up to Neptune’s Net, eat seafood, continue to Camarillo, and then ride home.
Yeah, these days I drive to cross creek and start from there. Less traffic, or so it seems.
me too, more or less. i start at the top of that hill, from the park, and go north. either up the canyons, then further north on PCH, or straight PCH/harbor/channel islands, etc., if doing a really long ride. i agree: there’s less traffic starting there, and almost all of the shoulder is fairly decent. and yes, i agree that going on to las posas is better than stopping at yerba buena or the mugu rock.

There’s something in your link that chrome says is distributing malware. Just thought you should know.
I get the same thing… warning from Chrome about malicious content.
I had some ads on there that I just removed. Would you mind trying the link again and seeing if that’s still the case? I tried it with chrome, but I’m running Linux so I didn’t get the warning.
