I heard they are canceling the swim due to huge algae snakes or something?!?!?! In place of the swim they will make participants run around the helix’s until they vomit, call it a weeding out process, The quicker ya puke the quicker ya get on the bike course!! I can’t wait. I also heard that the weather will be perfect.

IM needs to compile a list of rumors - it would be a great read.
i don’t know…last year 10 days out the weather people predicted mid 70’s and sun. that lasted for about a day and then it was predicted to rain on race day for the entire week leading up to the race. on saturday the forecast changed and it turned out to be an absolutely perfect day. likewise, i am hoping the same happens this year, but i am not going to lose too much sleep over the weather forecast…at least not yet.
now snakes on the other hand, they were quite numerous even last year, i can only imagine what another year will bring.
Y’all know IMMOO is in the midwest right?
So yeah, it’ll be to early to talk weather until we are all treading water in the swim start area, and even then, we can’t be sure. IF you would like to talk weather with me then, I’ll be the guy in the speedo, at the far right of the swim start .
I also heard somethign about no swim, and there was a vomit festival…but I heard it was something about cheese curds and photos of nude people from Milwaukee…
Weather service predicts temperatures from 40-95 degrees Farenheit with anywhere from calm to 50 mph winds. Snow, sleet or rain chance 50%. Possible humidity to 100%.
It is Wisconsin in September! We may have anything. Be prepared and don’t worry about what is not in your control.
Just watch out for those damn snakes. After seeing them this week, the weather is the least of my worries!

I heard the DNR brought in swimming boaconstrictors to control the population of the algea eating snakes…and it’s backfired. Boaters are complaining because there are so many of them now that they keep getting caught up in their props. Its a freaking mess.
Are the algae eating snakes a hoax or real?
Enough is enough. I have had it with these motherfukin’ snakes** in this motherfukin’ lake**!
I hear ya!
While swimming on Lake Monona this morning I was 10 yards off shore in front of the Terrace and a huge snake slithered up next to me and asked If I had heard that they had canceled the IMOO swim for next weekend and later suggested I should save it for the bike course. True story! No really, these snake have already morphed from simple nice algae eaters to dishing out coaching advice mid workout.
Whats next!
All different and they will be all different and the next day.

Actually more interested in the local weather and airport delays. A Hurricane popping up in the Atlantic can delay my flight to Madison.
