Is T-mobile racing for second already??? Why the heck did they go to the front and started chasing? Do they have the jersey?? didn’t they realize the leader’s jersey is yellow, not pink…
please…fire Rudy Pevenage!!!

because they’re worried about Voigt, and Dicso didn’t chase b/c they had Hincapie in the break?
Where is Hincapie?
Nicki Sørensen(CSC), Pieter Weening (Rabobank), Salvatore Commesso (Lampre), Cédric Vasseur (Cofidis), Ronny Scholz (Gerolsteiner), Nicolas Jalabert (Phonak), Juan Antonio Flecha (Fassa Bortolo).
From cyclingnews.com, “Fabian Cancellara has dropped back to consult the race doctor; looks like he is concerned about his right knee.” What’s the point? I’m not trying to be sarcastic here. What can the race doctor do during the middle of a race? All I could think of is to supply some aspirin or something? Surely he isn’t going to break the scalpel out mid-race.
Cancellara: "hey doc, it hurts when I do this … "
doc: “well, then don’t do that”
that was an earlier break which TMO chased down w/ Hincapie, Voigt, and a couple others.
He already quit 18 months ago. The real mastermind is Godefroot. He can take any talented rider, pay him top dollar and then run them into the ground so CSC or Discovery can sign them for next to nothing.
Sorry, that was actually 2 1/2 years ago, when the Coast debacle started.
Gerard,
I agree. Godefroot has taken countless number of riders and almost destroyed their carreer. Bobby is just one example, I was really happy to see him ride the way he did last year.
my bad…I actually meant Walter Godefroot…
How things look now, after the stage… TMO isn’t riding for second at all! They are running for 2nd, 3rd and 4th!
Ok make that 5th, 6th and 7th
.
Nah, it’s all the Carbon Soloist for Bobby.
Serioulsy: same here. talk about a guy who you want to do well!

For external injuries I know the doctor has given some topical anasthetic. Perhaps aspirin or something is what he needed.

Go back and edit/delete your original post. No one will know, and they will have no idea what anyone is talking about. I can’t believe Gerard is reading ST during the TDF!!!
Then I’ll delete this one.
yeah, tell that to bjarne, jan, erik, stefan, vino etc… gerard, you’re wrong on this one. not everyone can cope with his style but many riders would give their eye-teeth to work under godefroot. his old world approach might not fit in the days where “mr. 65” is considered a d.s. genius rather than the druggy, lying scumbag he was considered to be when the royal family of denmark refused to even meet with him…but whatever. sure, playing soldier in december and ellipitical chainrings and chinese made carbon bikes are making csc perform…see how it feels?
bjarne riis is awesome. he was a great rider and gets the most out of his athletes. but a low blow at a man the jerk respects deserves a low blow in response. everyone has a style. godefroot is a good man and a fine leader of athletes. his boys will do fine this year.

What happened to just being plain old Mister60?
mmm…the jerk being a bad typer?

I think I’m with The Jerk on this one.
If nothing else, we owe Godefroot a hearty “thank you” for being the only DS with the balls to challenge Lance/Bruyneel for the GC every year.
Think just how boring the Tour would have been the last several years if Godfroot had simply said, “well, Armstrong has GC sewn up, I’m going to bring a leadout train for Erik this year.” This is what nearly anyone else might have done. Even when Ullrich left Telecom, the team STILL went balls out for the GC.
Is he (WG) a talent meatgrinder? Yup. No doubt; but he’s makin’ GC sausage. It’s ugly to watch, but out of the carnage at Telecom has emerged Riis, Ullrich, Vino, and Kloden. How many Podium places is that? NOBODY can touch that record of GC contender production. Nobody.
.
And they looked damn strong today. Three guys who can attack Armstrong in succession - scary. Tomorrow, even though it is not a classic mountain stage may very well determine the overall winner. If Disco fights back tomorrow, it could be absolute carnage on that final Cat 1 climb, especially with a rest day. You know Armstrong will want to hurt everyone who attacked him today, and show that his team is the toughest.
