To the female ST'ers HR strap?

I’m thinking of buying a HR monitor for my wife. Are there any models or chest straps which are more suitable for women?

Thanks,

Will

How tiny is she? I found the garmin to be a bit loose. Timex is much more snug and the wrist watch is nice and small. Made well for a petite woman. It’s my favorite so far. Not sure the model number, but it was 70 bucks- so probably one of the lower end models.

How much do you want to spend on it? They have the new Polar/Addidas combination on the RS800SD. The heart rate strap is actually the jersey. You can buy it for her and then give us a review.

I am glad that you like the Timex Jodi. I got the same one for a friend of mine and she likes it alot also. She is also about your height and it fits her nicely.

I have a Polar RS100. I love the watch, although some women might not like the size…kind of big. The HR strap fits just fine though.

I like the Polar straps, but I think the watch is too big, it always feels very uncomfortable on my wrist.

How far does the plastic part go around your chest? It’s really hard to tell from the photos on their website. I need a new HRM and I don’t want a super hard and bulky sensor.

It’s bit bigger than the polar or garmin at the plastic part, but I didn’t notice it once it was on. I think the plastic part covers most my chest, and the HR sensor is wider than the other monitors. It picks up the HR better than the Garmin, for sure. But like I said, since I didn’t notice it when it was on, it’s A-OK with me!

Will it lift and separate? cause that is important!

Too funny!

With my taper weight, I’m looking for an HRM that will downplay and minimize
