I’ll preface this post with the admission that I know little about wheels and tires. I’m currently riding Continental Grand Prix 4000 in the size 700x20. After a blowout last weekend, I need a new tire. I didn’t realize that 20s were an unusual size and that its a special order item. Should I switch to 23s or just special order the 20?

While I’m waiting for the special order, can I trade out the wheel from my road bike and place on the tri bike? Or, should I just ride the road bike for my weekend ride (am only doing 40-50 this weekend). I’d rather ride the tri bike because its a more comfortable ride (a better fit).

well if you care about minute aero weenie detail you could go 20 up front and 23 in the rear. but 23s are pretty normal

assuming both bikes use 700c wheels, you can swap wheels on the front

and if they use the same kind of casette, you can swap the rear too
