Tire Rub

Looking for a little input on an issue that I encountered recently. I experienced some tire rub on the inside of my front fork (left side) when ascending a fairly steep climb. I was in a seated position and traveling at approximately 8 MPH. The hill was steep so I was pedaling fairly hard to maintain momentum. This was probably the fourth ride on this bike and I had never experienced this issue before. I had not ascended anything quite as steep before. I have heard of people experiencing flex when hammering down, but I imagined this as more of a sprinting type of effort. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you riding wide tires? I had the Fusee 25’s on my S-Works, the front never rubbed but there was noticeable flex…it’s only a 20 spoke wheel and at 190 lbs you can put some serious torque on it!

I’m riding a 700X23. The clearance is pretty tight to begin with. Is it common to have that much flex on the front when climbing?
