I have a bizarro upper leg injury that only presents itself after about 10 minutes of harder running … which is pretty much anything at z3 or faster. Oddly, it’s fine any other time. After working with my PT on it for a while, we’re thinking it’s being caused by some breakdown in form that is occurring when the fast and harder stuff comes on and i strart to fatigue.
Any tips about how to maintain proper run form when going fast? Is this something that I can train? I would imagine things like strong core, no muscle imbalances, flexibility etc are fundamental, but are there effective ways to train good form when my body is quite tired and form would normally start to falter?
Appreciate any and all insight.
