I have been receiving many questions on how to build up Zipp 2001 and 3001 frameset. I have been answering as much as I could but I do not have much time.
There are many new owners who have never been working on this Zipp frames before. If they make one mistake, then it means one less part for the overall Zipp frames. There are a lot of people are in business of dealing, selling, and modifying the Zipp frame and the original parts which would end up anywhere and may never be put back to its original glory. So please if anyone who has great experience in Zipp frame and willing to spend some times to give tip and tricks to new owners, please do so.
There are some people out there who involve bicycle for just money. Once they get their hands on one of this lovely Zipp frameset, you must pray that they have common sense in their head. There was a buyer who bought my Zipp bike out of my good heart judging he was a true Zipp fan. He promised me that he would keep it and appreciate it like he said. As soon as I sold it to him, he posted on eBay for a matter of a week. Everything on the Zipp was stripped down to even the front derailleur hanger. I saw Zipp drop out, Zipp brakes, Zipp chain guard, Zipp front derailleur hanger, Zipp frame with nothing on it, American Classic headset belongs to Zipp, Zipp bolts accessory, Zipp beam, Zipp seat clamp, Zipp elastomer and fork. That was a saddest thing I have ever seen. He sold parts for crazy high price. Everyone needs money, but money cannot buy them good character.
