Timo Bracht shines again

After having won Ironman France and Ironman Florida last year, Timo Bracht already showed what he is capable of, but some critics thought that he was only able to win because the competition wasn’t too tough. At the South African Half earlier this year he beat Tissink and Leder, who was only training :-), on his way to victory. Yesterday he won the Kohler Haardman Triathlon where he beat Hellriegel and Leder on this 2k, 90k, 21k course, by almost 4 minutes.
I think he is for real, plus he is a super nice guy.

Results 4. Kohler Haardman

  1. Bracht, Timo 03:39:47
  2. Hellriegel, Thomas 03:43:20
  3. Leder, Lothar 03:45:12
  4. Goerke, Nils 03:47:01
  5. Tewes, Heiko 03:49:46

Those times are scary fast! 3:39 for half IM? Is this course entirely downhill … those times seem too fast?

The German site which listed the results was wrong, the distances were apparently 2k, 80k and 20k.

Herbert messed up the race distance - when I saw the results yesterday I was very surprised

the race distance was: 2000m - 81,2km - 20km

Nina Kraft won the women’s race and placed 8th overall in 3:56:21
.

Thanks Flomauer for updating this at the same time, and actually having the apparently correct distances
Tri2b.com also has some amazing pics, it looks like the run was at least on certain sections through a muddy field. Yikes.
