Time Trial tyres for a rainy TT?

Today I did the Vuelta a Espana amateur criterium at the TT-circuit in Assen, The Netherlands. It was a criterium of 2km before the start of the prolog of the Vuelta a Espana. But with a lot rain the fast TT-circuit turned into a slippery and difficult road. I rode the race with my Bontrager TT aerowing 19mm tires front and rear with 7.5 bar and I couldn’t take the corners with the same speed as my opponents.

Next week I have an important Time Trial and I don’t know what clincher tyre I should ride when we get a lot of rain during the TT (which has corners every 2-3km). What clincher tyres are considered tyres for rain and also fast TT tyres combined with an 404 wheelset with wheelcover?

Tire pressure is the best control knob. Using 10-15psi or even 20psi lower will help grip considerably.

19mm is also very thin for use in wet, smaller contact patch. 23mm would be better. Most of the wet weather tires are more on the durable side (heavier) and not designed towards high thread count etc.
