Getting rid of the TT bars that came with my 04 Cannondale Ironman 2000, Profile Design Carbon Stryke. Ready to upgrade to the S bars. Which brand do you prefer? HED, Profile, Vision Tech, Oval Concepts??? Any suggestions, pros cons…price deferential?

For the price the Profile T2’s are quite nice. Adjustable too, which won’t eliminate the need to cut “S” bends to the proper length for you but will make determining what that length is much easier.

The s bars by Profile aren’t carbon though are they? Would that make difference seeing I am currently riding with carbon?
If I am correct, you and your girlfriend ride horses also? Me too, what a nice diversion from the bike! Not nearly as much concentration needed on the trail rides!
Profile has carbon ones due out soon if that’s your thing. They are on their website now.
We do ride horses. She is quite accomplished. I am a total greenhorn.

My bike shop got in touch with Profile and the carbon bars are 45 days out. Thanks for the heads up. I have a pending order!

Absolutely zero. Purely a very very minor weight difference. Nothing else.
