Time for TdF Podium Predictions

Top 3 in Paris on July 24 Armstrong Ullrich Levi

Darkhorse, sleeper special…Vladimir Karpets (last year’s white jersey winner) just off the podium in 4th place.

As for stage one…Armstrong, Ullrich + :08, McGee + :10.

Time for a little nationalism…

  1. Armstrong
  2. Landis
  3. Levi

In all seriousness, Levi won’t break the top 5. Ullrich will be somewhere on the podium.

1.-Mr. LANCE ARMSTRONG

2.-Basso

3.-Mayo

And i Hope that nobody beats LANCE, but if for some reason he is not the winner, i hope Jan isn’t.

Mayo, interesting pick. The Spanish Armada (Mayo, Valverde, Heras) have been sooo quite this year, IMO they are the real wildcard this year.

  1. Armstrong

  2. Basso

  3. Vino

  1. Basso

  2. Landis

  3. Armstrong

I would like to be rooting for Tyler, but…that’s another thread.

  1. Goldorak

  2. Silver Surfer

  3. Pokemon

I think that Tmobil wont let Vino go to the front, they will put all the team behind Jan. Thats why they didn’t put Erik in the final 9. HOOOOOOOOOOO FOOLISH, they will miss him in the TTT. you will see, and remember wise Chex.

ZAbel didn’t get in because he is yesterday’s man, ok well last year’s man. Kloden is a T mobile leader of the future.

  1. Vino (yes, I’m going out on a limb, but that makes it more fun)

  2. Basso

  3. Armstrong

But that wasn’t the question, Zabel is and will be more of a team rider, and in the ttt will be missed, he do not have a future, he has been around on the top of the sport for a long time, i think it was a mistake to let him out of TdeF.

typical tdf. two of the guys on the podium will be of the favorites, the other will be someone nobody expects. karpets is a good call, since he tt’d strongly in the giro.

  1. armstrong
  2. basso
  3. botero (will make floyd his bitch)
  1. Armstrong

  2. Botero

  3. Menchov

Sorry I didn’t realise there was a question. Must have been the absence of a question mark to alert me

  1. Armstrong

  2. Ullrich.

  3. Basso.

  1. Lance

  2. Jan

  3. Floyd

Whatever you do, don’t call Mayo Spanish. Basque is NOT the same as Spanish. Definitely not…

Mayo is trying to avoid his too-early peak of last season. Fortunately, he can’t get mono again, so that has to be a weight off his shoulders… Wonder who he was makin’ out with? Probably a podium girl at the Dauphine…

Anyway:

  1. Armstrong
  2. Basso
  3. Landis

That’s interesting, why don’t you want Jan to win if Lance does not?

Mayo, interesting pick. The Spanish Armada (Mayo, Valverde, Heras) have been sooo quite this year, IMO they are the real wildcard this year.

The Spanish Armada has never really been anything to worry about - they tend to get lost, are poor at manouvering in high winds and sink in high seas…

Now the Spanish Inquisition is another thing altogether - NObody expects the Spanish Inquisition…
