Me, Me, me!!! I am really excited for this race!
It will be my first HIM too - what an event to pop the half cherry on! I have been looking forward to this race for many months. Lets hope that hurricane Irene blows out to the Atlantic.
The only sucky part: traveling 16 hours by car from North Carolina with a 12-week-old puppy (good thing he’s cute!):

I’m as ready as I’m gonna be… one more hard workout tomorrow, and then it’s Taper City, baby!!! 
I’ll be back for my fourth time. This year it is sort of a tune-up for IM Wis - we will see how it goes.
So, to give this a bump-a-roonie for the new week…
Where & when is a good time for the ST posse to meet and greet?
We will likely not be arriving at the venue until mid afternoon on Sat. Will check in, then go drop off bike, hit one of the mandatory pre-race meetings, and then look for someplace to eat (since we’re w/ family, and will forego the carbo-load dinner)

Saturday or Sunday … when do you guys want to try to meet up …the easiest thing to do on Sat would be to set up a time before or after packet pickup … otherwise Sunday we can meet up before awards if people will be sticking around … whats the vote so we can start figuring this out.
I’m in…Hopefully it will be a wetsuit swim… Last week the water was very close to a non-wetsuit swim.

rumor has it that wetsuits will be allowed even if it is over 76 … it was 79 a few days ago.
I’m in too - first time at Timberman.
KJ just wrote me a post saying he is pretty sure we will be able to use wetsuits … he said the temp is 76 now and it has cooled off a lot up there from the rain.
We have a cool week ahead up here with temps in the high seventies. My water temp prediction will be around 73 or 74 degrees. Takes 80’s and 90’s (air) to get the water into high 70’s.
I’m there. If the very pregnant wife comes we will probably bolt for home right after. If not, I could stick around for a bevi or 3.
