Timberman 70.3, where to stay?

Do you all have any good suggestions on where to stay? I am thinking about the host hotel, but not sure if there are other places that may be cheaper or just as close. I will have my wife, child and possibly some other family members. TIA

B. Mae’s is nice, and it’s close…There is also a shuttle bus from there race morning, so the family can sleep in and not arrive at the crack of dawn with you…Nice perk…It’s certainly not the cheapest, but it’s nice…Let me know if I can help.

That is where I think we will end up. Although I called around a bit yesterday and a place called Nawsa had Deluxe Suites for with a full kitchen for about the same price. I like cooking my own food the two nights before a race. Do you know anything about Nawsa?

Looked at Mills Falls as well, but they are almost sold out. Rooms are near $300 a night now.

Mill Falls is nice, but it’s about 20 mins to the race site…

Naswa is ok…B Mae’s is nice, as is the Lake Opechee Inn and Suites, but pricey…

Opinions on the Lighthouse B&B? Specifically, their cottages? Looking for a place for two families, each with two young children.

i stayed at the NASWA last year and it was fine. relatively close to the course. however, i’d take KJ’s suggestions…they are closer and more convenient and if they are still available, i’d do that.

The Lighthouse B and B seems nice. I haven’t been in it, so I can’t give you a definitive answer on it.

Naswa is really nice. Stayed there in '04. Only issue was a bit of loud music on Friday and Saturday nights… But the rooms are very nice, and the kitchens are great.
