I really doubt that he “resigned”. There was lots of talk in the weeks prior of Tiger not being happy with his performance. Tiger had 25 wins and 5 majors while Haney was his coach but Tiger was at his peak in 2000 (hard to call any year not successful) with Butch Harmon.
It will be interesting if Tiger gets back with Butch, doubtful since Harmon now coaches Mickelson. Imagine being a coach with both Mickelson and Woods in your stable. He would be printing money.
I think Woods can coach himself, he is a great student of the game but right now, he’s gotta figure out his personal life. He is mentally the toughest athlete I have ever seen but I think he is over estimating his own ability to deal with the garbage in his life. That has to be settled first.

You only need Tiger to print money. Butch and Hank have made a mint from their time with Tiger even though they were successful before he brought them on board.
Hank is not well liked my many swing coaches ( to Hanks credit he doesnt care what they think) and many thought it was a bad idea but was better than have Mark O trying to teach him. Many feel Hanks style doesn’t fit Tiger very well.
Can Tiger fix his own swing? Sure but its always better to have a second set of eyes that “speak your language” and understand how you think.
His personal life is definitely an issue but Tiger is also the issue. If his arrogance keeps him from listening to advice on his swing then he will struggle for a long time. Hes making his same old mistakes but they are amplified right now.
They were talking about possible coaches on TGC and I think Brian Mogg would be a great choice. His personality fits and his facility is 5 minutes from Tigers house. Hes a very good swing coach.
True, though in fairness to Hank, Harmon was just coaching a kid who liked to fuck. Hank was coaching a guy carrying on multiple affairs behind his wife and family’s back. I’d imagine those are two different golfers.
