Tiffany Blue makes the heart beat faster?

They say Tiffany Blue makes the heart beat faster, but for me Shimano blue boxes seems to do the trick… very excited! I’m most of the way through the installation, will post more soon.

Once per year I buy my wife something that comes in the Tiffany Blue box. Just once, I would like to see something like this in return! Then again, I usually beat her to the punch and just get it myself! Let us know how install goes, of course with an after picture!

Here’s a few pics post-installation. The biggest challenge was tucking cords away without a superbike stem to contain them, but I think it turned out pretty well. Yeah, I know it’s a much-teased SC 7.0… no haters please.

I gotta say, riding this bike is a lot more fun with Di2. I shift a lot more frequently and correspondingly I’m in the right gear a lot more often.

Lovely bike! That cockpit looks so clean apart from the side-pull brake cable, I’m almost tempted to buy you a Tririg Omega myself!!

Very nice!

Nice. How many tries did it take you to get the bike balanced on the water bottle?

Beautiful!

really slick. It’s begging for a Sigma stem though

That’s one of the “cleanest” builds I’ve seen! Nice! Can barely see a single cable.

Nice job, I have a first generation 7.2. Is that the new SC bento box? It looks a lot nicer than the old one, based on your installation do you think it would work OK with mechanical cabling? Looks like it might be a bit tight if there were 3 cables going into the grommet instead of 1.

If we’re going to tease you, it will be because you have mountain bike pedals on a tri bike.

Ha! Fair enough. I like the convenience of having the same pedal system for all my bikes. I’ve never tried a real large-platform road pedal so I don’t know what I’m missing.

Thanks. Yes, it’s the new box, and I think it’s really nice. Before I switched to Di2 it was working great with three cables going in.

Where do you find green grass, do you live in the tropics? Climate jealousy aside, nice ride. I would move the water bottle for races, though.

You’re not missing much. I do a lot of my training on my cross bike with mountain pedals I love having a shoe that I can walk on, it more than makes up for the smaller platform.

So, what did all those Shimano blue (and black) boxes cost you?

I was able to pay a little below retail, but it brings up a good point, this stuff is pricey. So far no buyer’s remorse… I enjoy it a lot more than lever shifters and I think it’ll make me faster too.

Where’d you hide the battery?

I pushed it into the inside of the seat post. It seems to fit perfectly, just snug enough to stay in.
