Tibbs… Keep the P3. Stay on ST. Don’t worry about the Giant. If you need to sell it, or whatever you need to do to help get your meds, then you need to do that. I think we all want a stable Tibbs.
Me, I was simply hoping to get a bike to help pursue a dream I have of doing an Ironman. Will I do one? Yes. If I have to ride a freakin’ Huffy, I am GOING to do IMFl!!!

Hey, occy, great website, espcially the pics of your family. Here’s what I have to say. Just ASSAULT IMF, even if it is on a huffy. Heck, I did IMF last year, and some woman beat me on a mountain bike (as my wife never fails to mention) Keep up the training and soon you will be an IRONMAN.
And I hope tibbsy stays too. I’m hoping that all of this misunderstanding will sort itself out.
Personally, I don’t think anything nefarious is happening vis a vis the Giant that Tibbsy had. I just think that our sense of urgency about this doesn’t quite equal what we think should be HIS sense of urgency. I suggest we all take a step back and catch our breath (as Dan Rather would say ;-).
I’m pretty sure Occy will get his bike, one way or the other. And I can’t blame Monk for pointing out some things, either. I can personally vouch for Monk’s integrity and kindness, by the way, as he GAVE me a brand new 12-25 cassette to use at last year’s GFT, and wouldn’t take it back after the race. He’s truly “the salt of the earth”.
And I really like Tibbs’ comments and posts on this site, so it’d be a real shame if we all let something like this get in the way of the community.

I understand that reply if you are so over worked that you don’t have time to reply to lawoof, but you are supposedly looking. That is like telling someone at an inverview that if they want to follow up or give you an offer that your phone number is in the phone book.
You seemed to be an ingrate to me…First, you are going to get a free bike…then you are pissin’ and moanin’ that this FREE bike has not gotten to you fast enough…
Then LaWoof offers you work and asks for your e-mail address, for which it seems, by your own account, you so desperately need and when you don’t respond and he calls you out…You tell him to look up your information…You should be doing everything you can to get work…No wonder you’ve been out of work for so long…Have you ever heard of the saying: “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth”?..all spells ingrate to me!
Maybe Occy is just a little eensy bitsy cautious about “job offers” on this forum… but Occy, everyone is trying to give you good advice – good luck on the employment front. Just don’t let this IMF goal blind you from the really important things in your life right now. There will always be a chance to slug your way through an Ironman for 14 or so hours. Keeping a young family together is a once in a lifetime.
this thread seams to have been hijacked, but in fact, it isn’t about occy or some way to attack the guy, i mean cut the guy some slack. This was a plea to keep our friend tibbs online with us as he has threatened to leave our community. Please folks, keep your eye on the ball.
