Anobody watch the interviews with third party presidential candidates on PBS last night? They had Peroutka and Nader on together, and then Badnarik and Cobb. It was interesting.
I figure Badnarik is getting at least a couple of Slowtwitch votes. Whose going third party?
I missed it, but they were interviewing Bednarik on one of the local morning talk programs here. Guess he got arrested for trying to get into the debate last week? He said he’ll be at the debate tomorrow, as well.
The interviewer asked both Nader and Barnarik if they felt bad about taking votes from Kerry and Bush, respectively.
The question pisses me off. What makes anyone think Kerry and Bush are entitled to those votes? They aren’t. They aren’t getting them because they don’t represent the viewpoint of the voters casting them. It’s that simple.
Well, he probably thinks that that’s the only way to get his and his constituencie’s views heard by the two major parties, especially the Democrats. It’s obvious he wants a say in the formulating the party’s platform and future.
It’s kind of European in outlook, somewhat like what’s going on in England with Tories, Liberals and Liberal Democrats right now.
I won’t be voting 3rd party because the state ballot only allows 2 choices. Can’t even do a write-in because the machine won’t read it.
I would vote Badnarik, even though I think some of the libertarian ideas are naive.
I find this hard to believe. You actually have to vote for Bush or Kerry, or not vote at all? Which state are you in? I’m undecided between Nader and Badnarik. I really like listening to Nader, I trust him. He doesn’t have that Mr. Burns politician feel to him. According to him, the Dems are going to look really ugly after the elections, as they have had lots of lawyers following Nader around intimidating them and tying them up in court to keep them from registering voters to get Nader on the ticket… Meanwhile, Nader says the Republicans have been helping him register voters.

Those wonderful Republicans. People should really take notice of the unselfishness of the Republican party. Trying to help a poor third party candidate onto a ballot. And people say they don’t care about the little guy…
