Ohhh, got it. Sorry for misunderstanding. Totally agree!
I think we’re all pretty excited for the next wave (as always) of the tri bike frame arms race, too!

But it’s not even that
In the 90s we knew stretching out was faster
in the 00s we knew stretching out was faster
in the 10s the rise of so called super bikes that were really un-adjustable and content to work within UCI bounds meant that very few people could stretch out
in the 20s we know stretching out is faster
So yes, the industry did poorly for a while there.
But Hausers problem is not ‘the industry’ - it’s that his sponsor makes a UCI TT bike that is much too small and slack for Tri use for a guy his size. If he was on nearly any actual tri bike he wouldn’t have needed a dodgy bar setup.
And as I’ve pointed out before - the rules still prevent super long frames for any race other than IM and there is a risk that they will fully adopt the world tri rules at some point.
Until the rules on frames change, the onus falls on bar makers to provide all the adjustment. I wouldn’t use any bar setup that hadn’t passed EFBE or Profile Design testing (ISO is insufficient for aerobars).
