Hi Randy,

You do deserve to race Kona. You entered the race via the program available to you and did both the race and the triathlon community proud. It was great to read your race reports over the years especially this years race. I have dreamed of racing in Kona for 20 years and when my opportunity comes via Lottery program I am going to race it proudly!

I’m old, slow and lucky that XC exists. I just missed a few times pre-XC but have been very lucky within XC–which is surprisingly competitive…

Very cool videos. You’ve done it three times and I have not yet qualified once. You deserve it, don’t sell yourself short, regardless of how you got there.
