Thoughts on these frames/bikes?

anyone use/know about/have thoughts on these frames? am looking for a new tri frame to build up, and these are some of the options so far.

giant trinity alliance (carbon and alum mix)

Felt s22 (carbon/alum mix, looks a lot like last years B2?)

P2sl

Blue T14

Louis Garneau TT 8.5

if there is anything else that should be on that list met me know.

thanks

The geometry of the Trinity Alliance, the Felt S22 ('06) and the P2SL are all excellent - ~78deg STA, etc.

You probably want to add the QR Kilo & Tequilo to that list as well.

I fail to see how any of those frames are better than your QR
.

they would be in the correct size, my QR was too big.

IN that case P2SL followed closely by Felt. Simply due to ride quality. I have ridden them both.

looked at the QR’s as well, i just sold a caliente, i liked the bike but it was too big and did not fit right.

just looking around at other options right now, but those are deff on the list as well, trying to find out a little more about bikes i have not rode at the moment.

thanks!!

i’ve been on the P2 a few times, did like it. the felt is also a great looking bike.

I spent around 2 1/2 hours at tri tech fri while my g/f had a fit done looking at bikes and talking to the people there about stuff, the felt right now is the top choice for a complete bike, the giant a really like the looks of, so still up in the air, all in the right price range.

geometry of the caliente is very different from the kilo/tequilo geometry. that is why i suggested those two, and not the carbon bikes.

ah ok.

thanks again.

do you know much about the giant?

i’ll check out the other two QR’s as well,

thanks again.

anyone else have any experince with the rest of those?

I ride a Blue T-12 and it is a nice frame. The aerus seatpost makes it very versatile. I had been riding it very steep and have just done some adjustments to move the saddle to the middle location on the post so that I’m riding about 76-77 degrees which I think is going to be a faster position for me. The T-14 looks cool, is a nice frame and there aren’t 250 of them in transition when you go to an ironman
