Thoughts on CW-X Performance wear?

Has anyone checked out/purchased/used the new muscle compression/support CW-X tights?

Considering them 'cus I spend most of the Manhattan winter in tights (either running or on my bike), need new ones, and have bad knees (IT band issues). Love some opinions before I pony up the cash (80$!) to test 'em myself…

thanks

I got a pair of the shorts and a pair of the tights to test before they came out and I love them. I’ll buy some this winter and they will be especially useful when it gets cold as the tights are nice and warm.

I’m very impressed by them. I think they are an excellent execution of a very good concept. I have two pairs of tights. I love them.

I have the tights. I bought them at Paragon. The advertisement is a little long on promise relative to the performance but I would say the performance is very good when compared to other similar products. I do have to use more force in completing long strides due to the cross weave but I think it does help with proper knee alignment.

I would buy them again. They look cool.

I came across these products at the NYC Marathon Expo just two days before the race, and I liked the shorts after a test run so much I decided to wear them in the marathon. They were great. I’m still working on observing any tangible differences in support from other products like Power Lycra, but so far they won my over on fit and feel alone.

Since then I’ve been using them on every run I can, as long as I’ve cleaned and dried them in time. I can’t vouch for definitive performance gains, but I can certainly compliment the comfort factor.

I’d buy the tights, too, but in sub-tropical Taiwan they wouldn’t get enough use. Will have to move to colder climes before I pull the trigger on that purchase.

One last thing. Try them on before you buy. I usually wear size medium tri or cycling shorts, but am a small size in CW-X and they still seem to fit a little loose. Makes me think they need another one or two smaller sizes.
