Any thoughts on the best online swim coach program to improve technique? Have been looking at triswimcoach and swim smooth. Let me know any thoughts or other recommendations. Thanks.
i think Tim in texas offer this kind of service and might be worth getting in touch. That would be one part of the process. But by all mean, try to find someone great locally to help also. it will go much faster in term of feedback in direction.
I have some friends who have improved with SwimSmooth, but mostly from the CSS training information and not technique. If at all possible I feel eyes on deck is the perfect scenario to correct technical issues as quickly as possible. Video can certainly help not saying that can’t be effective, but having access to chat real time with a knowledgeable swim coach right there next to you will accelerate your learning cure big time. If you are comfortable sharing your location I’m certain someone here on ST would be able to recommend a solid local coach. Good luck and have fun!
If you are going to be paying someone to help with technique, go local. Nothing beats eyes on deck. If you don’t have a masters program or triclub in your area, drop by the local university / college swim team, talk to the coach there. They are always connected, and sometimes there are a few kids on the varsity squad who also coach between classes / practice.

+1 for Coach Tim of Magnolia Masters.
Matt Hanson is being modest here. Someone needs to point out that Tim helped take Matt from a >1 hour IM swimmer to a front pack pro swimmer (and IM Champion) in a little over a year. There’s a thread about that here.
I have also benefited a lot from Tim’s coaching, and not just as a swimmer. He has a strong track record with everyone from absolute beginners to front pack pro’s. Feel free to PM me for his contact info or any questions.
I would also look at Gerry Rodrigues at Gerry@tower26.com.
