This weekend: One of the biggest tri events in the northeast

This weekend is the 7th annual Multisport World Conference and Expo at the Zesiger Sports & Fitness Center at MIT. If you’ve never been to it and can get there, you should check it out. Admission to seminars and the expo floor featuring 80+ exhibiting sponsors is free. Seminar speakers include Scott Tinley, Terry Laughlin, Karen Smyers and Danny Dreyer and exhibiting sponsors include Zipp, Avia, Felt, Total Immersion, Polar, Parlee, REI, Cycleops/Saris, Spinervals, Vasa, plus race directors, coaches, clubs, bike shops and more.

There are also paid clinics, workshops and competitive events… a silent auction fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society (all tri related stuff to bid on) at the USAT Northeast Welcome Reception… the Multisport World Kids Olympics… 3 shows by pro stunt bike rider, Mike Steidley… goodie bags… valuable giveaways… and more.

Multisport World is this weekend, March 21-22, and is developed in partnership with the Northeast region of USAT. Go here to learn more: http://www.multisportworld.com/

I’ve gone the past few years and it is a good event, am planning on swinging by Saturday at some point.

i might come by Saturday!

As an additional attraction, there’s a 5K right in the neighborhood on Sunday morning, with our own JoeO as one of the RDs. I’d seriously be thinking about making the drive down there if I weren’t going to be working this weekend.

Go to the expo, do the race, maybe meet a few Slowtwitchers - then send in your race results for the Virtual 5K.

(Three-way plug.)

That road race is Sunday morning at 10AM according to the web site.

Whoops - fixed it.

KP - I **WILL **see you bright and early Saturday morning! 8am!!

Everyone else, make sure to stop by the Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival Booth…as we promised…LINDT CHOCOLATES will be there!

I will be there saturday - doing the TT at 12:30…

I will be at the Pumpkinman booth…come by and say hi.

We’ll be there, along with a few " Special Guests"…and complimentary treats and schwag.
