It was partly cloudy, 70 degrees in the San Antonio area this morning. Of course, the @#%&* wind has been blowing at 25 mph for the past @#%*&^ month, so no decent riding for me. :-\
We’ve gotten almost four feet of snow in the past two weeks… Guess that evens out with the two weeks in January where we had 60-65* temps, and my first century of 2009 was on Jan 2nd in 67* temps… ![]()
California sucks. It will be 75F and sunny at the velodrome. Need to find the sunscreen. It was just as nice yesterday. This is why I left the Midwest.

Snow on April 5th- not supposed to happen around here.
it’s not that you’re complaining, it’s when you say, it’s “not supposed to happen around here”.
because i don’t which madison you live in, but if it’s madison wi, then your comment makes it appear that you have been living in madison for maybe 6 months.
Actually, its been 4 years. i went for a 9 mile run today, and actually the weather is about perfect for running. Maybe I'm complaing too much. I was just looking forward to putting some miles on my bike today, and Im too much of a skirt to take it out in these conditions.
I know, I’m so frustrated with the sunburn I got in Oceanside yesterday. I’m going to have to spend the rest of the week at the pool now to balance out my tan again. ![]()
I’m in the PNW and while we don’t get snow on April 5th we did get record rains and cold on April 1st and 2nd. It has been a hellish spring here and we are having the first sunny warm day here in what feels like 8 months.
Last year we did get snow on April 18th so I’m not holding my breath that we are done with winter.
Make yourself some hot cocoa after the run. That always makes me feel better.
Ha, I’m in SA also and am wishing I rode yesterday. I rode in the 30-40 mph winds a couple weekends ago and decided I wasn’t doing that again today…3.5 hrs on the Computrainer today–ouch! but good way to test out my new saddle ![]()
Thank god for global warming. Why let a little snow make you get vaginaitus and run inside? I did 14 last weekend in snow, then rain, then sleet then snow again. Are your races held inside?
Too bad global warming is a myth, and were actually in a global cooling. Hence the snow in april. Nonetheless, I feel you. Ky is all over the place; 80 one day, 35 the next.
Not ruining my life though, just means I have an 18 mile treadmill session to do though today. Hope something good is on TV.
IRL saved my day! Don’t know if I like the new, mature Danica. She should have been beating that rookie over the head with her helmet for that bonehead move…
Also, thanks to Gaslight Anthem. Probably the best band that few people are running to.
I know the problem…I took the snow brush out of my car last week…![]()
You jinx us all a$$h0l3!!! I never remove mine till May for that reason.
Went for my long run this morning and spend the rest of the day at the beach ![]()

Aren’t you in el paso??? Probably 75F or more at the track. Now on the way to the desert.
Hell, I never take mine out of the car. Thats just a WI faux pas. Always leave in the bags of sand, the scraper, and some quickstart. In WI you never know.
yeah, but if I add my iq back in it’s back in the 80s ![]()

My wife snapped this today after my trail run. It was pretty nice for a while and there was no snow on the grass when I left. We got a couple of inches in an hour during the run though.
I love running in the snow but I’ll admit we are pretty spoiled out here most of the winter so it is kind of a novelty.
- Two weeks ago my kids were running through the sprinklers in the yard
- One week ago 2 feet of snow, 6’ high pile next to the driveway after two hours of solid shoveling to get out

can we keep the ‘it snowed at my house therefore global cooling not global warming’ kookery to the LR please
.
Surprise no one has said HTFU.
Craptastic day in Chi-town yesterday. Serious wind coming out of the north. Cold, freezing rain. Put in a great 13 mile run with practically no one else out on the lakefront bike path.
Can’t let weather keep you from it. Your competition isn’t.
