USAT website down, possible hacker responsible.

Valyermo, Ca - In the day that USAT planned to publish the much expected Triathlon and Duathlon rankings for 2007, the USAT website suffered a major mal-function, possibly due to hacker interference. According to the webmaster of the site, Jordan Rope, several parts of the website were affected, making navigation through the site next to impossible. “We think that a hacker attack was responsible for this”, said Rope, “even though it is too soon to know for sure, we do have records that someone in California accessed the site thousands of times in the last few hours. Those hits are likely at the root of what brought the website down”.
USAT expects to have the website back to full operation sometime in the next 6 months.

.

6 months??? That was some major hack … good thing the USAT doesn’t rely on the site to do business … oh wait …

You have been in rare form lately. Very nice.

Obviously this is all because h2ofun has been hitting the refresh page to see his ranking!!!

h2ofun crashed his favorite site…so sad

have you tried navigating the site lately? it seems they did their business all over it.

One of the all-time best…

LOL…poor ropestar, nobbled by the waterboy
.

actually the site looks fine to me…

Yeah - I know! : ) I am an IT programme manager and 6 months to get a site up is insane. After 6 months, why bother?

maybe this has to do with the fact that this is a joke…

One of your best.

…crap
.

Thus, both triq and Flanagan confirm that this is one of Paulo’s best!

I concur…I guess no one has ever paid attention to where Xantusia is located…

I know! ; )

True, but actually the first clue should have been that Paulo posted it.

classic. (but you are 4 months late…)

I think it is an inside job…this Rope guy sounds suspicious.

Kurt

It goes way beyond that. Coming from a guy that does this s(*& for a living, all it would take is a reboot and an IP filter to fix this.

Something else has to be wrong. Hell, they probably ran out of money after dropping probably around $30k on that pretty yet shi*(y site of theirs.

But they fixed in only a few hours. They exceeded your expectations.
