This has to be a stolen bike....eBay P5-six

I saw this P5 six for sale on ebay. Seller is only asking minimum of $3000 and has a shady storyline. Here’s the listing P5-six

This seller might be a thief or could be a genius in his sales tactics. I haven’t decided yet.

Thoughts?

I think it’s nice of him to sell a stolen bike and give a part of the proceeds to charity.

I can buy the story that an old guy bought it and could not get comfortable on it. I’ve known
some old people in my day and that’s just like them.

I wouldn’t buy a $10 item (much less a multi-thousand-dollar one) from a seller with no history. This guy has ***zero ***reviews. That’s all you need to know.

Who would buy from such a person?

Oh and he’s a been an ebay member since all of six days ago.

If that’s not a guarantee of quality, I don’t know what is.

It could be legit but if so, the guy is breaking his agreement with ebay in multiple ways. If you are interested it wouldn’t hurt to start dialogue with him and see where it goes. Are you within driving distance of Milwaukee?

Look at his other listings. All shady as hell.

does anyone else think its funny that the title says “carbon fiber bike”??

Generally if it sounds to good to be true it is. I wouldn’t chance it. However as long as they take payment via PayPal I think you’re covered should it be a scam. Not positive on that but I thought that was the whole reason for using PayPal and them charging 3%. I wouldn’t buy anything off ebay without PayPal

Very shady. He has 2 super bikes listed and a copy machine. IM Wisconsin was a few weeks ago. I wonder if anyone is missing a bike?

See the race number on the Scott? What race is that from? Cool to see how the Missile Stem fits on the Plasma frame. I thought it would be a smoother transition, almost like the Shark Stem.

This is one of those items that if you bid on them, the seller will try to e-mail you outside ebay to resolve the transaction. Not many fall for this, but enough do that they keep trying these scams.

Nm…found the number. Nice catch!

And the image exactly matches this listing:

I reported it. So many things wrong with that listing ebay should yank it. Hpoefully they’ll yank the other lisitngs too.

Good! Either they’re going to scam someone out of their money or they’re selling stolen goods.

Can’t quite make out the IM sticker on the plasma.

It’s a 70.3 though. I can get that much, the name blurs out too much. But, it’s a short name and cyanish blue.

Looks like cozumel 70.3 but not for sure…

Looks more like Miami, from what I can tell. If so, that number was a DNS.

Yup, has to be the Miami logo, even the little city bike black logo on the top left matches.

Found the owner on Facebook, he has a pic of his bike. Sent him a message asking if his bike was stolen, will update when he replies.

I just had laser CO2 engraver stolen out of my garage last week in West Allis. These things are hotter than iPhone 6s. Now I know who stole it!
