Things to do in Denver

Wife and I are going out to Colorado for some white water rafting, hiking, etc (we’re from Louisville). We are flying into Denver and if there are things to see there - would love to have some ideas. Considering the zoo … what else?? Recommended places to eat??

A unique opportunity to tour a US mint. Reservations are required.

-see Bufallo Bill Cody’s grave
-tour Coors brewery (and get 3 free beers)
-see a concert at Red Rocks
-drive to the top of Mt. Evans
-go to Beau Joe’s Pizza in Idaho Springs and get an enormous mountain pie

in the actual city of Denver you could go to the zoo, the natural history museum, Botanic Gardens, tour the capital, go to six flags elitch gardens, go to the aquarium. You can also not go to a Rockies game

I lived in Denver for almost 6 years, and my girlfriend was born and raised. With that said, I have been asked that question plenty of times. So, I compiled a spreadsheet of 39 things to do, with effort, cost and driving times. I don’t know how to post an attachment in this forum, but if you’d like it let me know how I can send it to you via email.

P.S. I left Denver in 2005, so this list is 2 years old. However, most of the “things” to do have been there for thousands of years, so they’re not going away. Some of the restaurants on the other hand, might be a different story.
