Just looking to see what kinds of apps people are using on their computer that they really like and use quite often. Not necessarily your favorite webpage (i.e. your favorite news source but with the type of exceptions you see in my list below), but useful/truly productive/organizers/communicators/etc. I have just a few, and I’m wondering what else I could find that may be useful or more useful than what I’m using now.

(I don’t have a Crackberry or iPhone or web enabled mobile device, but feel free to chime in for others’ benefit.)

Things I like:

Opera web browser
Skype
Gmail
Craigslist
Google Calendar

I know. I haven’t rocked anyone’s world with that list. What do you like?

I like ForecastFox.

I have a little sticky notes tool that is handy.

There are only a few core apps that I use every day:

Explorer (never had a reason to change browsers)
Outlook
MS Office
X1 (search utility for desktop and e-mail)
Quickbooks
Quicken
iTunes
