I might be wrong but I thought traditionally the Olympic/World Champion in the decathlon was referred to as the World’s Fittest Man or athlete. Similar to the winner of the 100m dash as the world’s fastest man? It’s an unofficial title but I thought there was some tradition to it.
Edit: Devlin has pointed out that the winner of the decathlon is referred to as the World’s Greatest Athlete.
