A reported 7,000 athletes between all the various events for the weekend makes it very worthwhile for MetaSport to keep it going.

Just because the conditions are tough doesn’t mean T100 should drop the race. Singapore looks like a great city. Looks like the fear of bad water quality is unfounded since there hasn’t been any issues the last 2 years. The issues the first year look to be due to someone spreading an illness.

No one watches the race. It’s not helpful from a broadcast perspective when that is a core part of what T100 wants to be.

I am well aware that it isnt a PTO T100 production. Maybe you and a few others here on ST should get on a plane and actually travel to a few of these Asian races…Like Macca’s Tri Festival Indonesia last week.

When it comes to the grind of trying to build a sport in a country that has essentially been played by and led by the social outcasts of society for the last 60 years…yeah I know a lot. That includes how much these broadcasts cost. It’s all a struggle and you have to deploy your capital accordingly. I would say Triathlon has a leg up on Rugby in the US, socially it’s seen way differently. People want to say that there are barriers to Triathlon in this country…I’ve seen way more friends pick up triathlon than will even come over to my house and watch Rugby.
