The surge is going to work. Just wait and see. Freedom and democracy will shine a beam of light and hope over all the Muslims. They will soon run out and elect honest and worthy officials. The Iraqi government will represent the people equally and fairly. Shiites will love Sunni’s, and each will respect the Kurds and all other minority sects, and they will all live in peace and harmony. A millennium of distrust will be forgiven. Al-Qaida will put down their arms and all the people of Iraq will reject them and send them back to Saudi Arabia. Women will no longer wear veils covering their entire body. Orphans will understand why their parents were killed and will rise up to rebuild their country. Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and all other Islamic countries will put aside their interests for the sake of the people of Iraq. America will have all the oil it wants at a discount, and we will be paid back for all the blood we’ve shed in “liberating” the Iraqis from themselves tenfold in cash and love. WMD will be found and the rest of the world will respect our actions in Iraq, and George Bush will be forever seen as the brilliant man he is and all democrats and critics will be really sorry for doubting him and what will ultimately be seen as counter-terrorism actions helping all Americans for generations of peace. And soon, I won’t have to take my shoes off at airport security, and I’ll know we’ve arrived in Shangrila.
