The New Vitruvian running shoe

The Vitruvian shoes on the Vitruvian website are the new version of the Vitruvian shoe. They are made of a compression molded insole and they are lighter and more cushioned than the original Vitruvian shoes . They have the same incredible ride.I have been training on the new model(proportion) for the Boston . I have been fortunate to have been able to run on the prototype model since last June. I have put over 900 miles on one of the pairs ! I you have not tried the new Vitruvian you owe it to your feet, legs and body to try them. I have never owned a pair of running shoes that felt good on my feet at mile 26 but these shoes do . I really can not say enough about how they feel when you run with them. They take a few miles to break in but then they are smooth as silk . I think it is because the midsole is one flat piece and your foot and ankle do not need to readjust after heel strike . They are great! I am sold on them.

They feel great and have the added bonus of making my with laugh her ass off every time I put them on. She refers to them (last year’s clearance model) an my “Napoleon Dynamite” shoes. While I have gone on a few short runs I have yet to take them off any sweet jumps.

This is obviously a shameless ploy for stickers…

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Due to my recent LASIK mishap, however, I’ve only been out in them once. It was my usual six-mile loop. Only this time, instead of around the lake, I ran across it!! That’s how incredible these shoes are!!!

Sorry…all of these eye drops and steroids are making me loopy…

They actually felt o.k…too soon to tell though…hopefully I’ll be back in them in a couple of days…

I ordered a pair as well. For $30, I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve put 46 miles on them so far. I have to admit, they’re not my favorite shoes but they are at least runnable. They are a little wide for me and the upper on one foot really bothers me. I’m trying to find out what it is that’s digging into my foot but haven’t figured it out yet.

Why don’t you guys just go down to K-Mart and buy some Dexter’s?

it sounds like you’re reading from a cue card ;).

I admit that they are incredibly awesome looking. I would buy them for that alone. Napoleon indeed.

What happened to the $26 part I saw a link about a bit back? $60 seems like a lot as I’m paying $75 for my new balance right now.

Also, I’m not quite sure of my arch type (normal I guess) and I wear orthotics. What’s the appropriate model?

Try lacing them exactly as pictured on the website or in the picture tthat came with them. Try emailing Chuck. He’s very responsive.

The previously models are on sale for $30. Never was a $26 that I know of.

Try emailing Chuck about your foot type, what shoes you’ve used in the past, etc.

Try 'em with and without the orthotic. I used orthotics in my Asics, but not in these. (I do reserve the right to change my mind on tht though.)

You could try the Dexters, too. Good Luck.
