The Nation's Triathlon receives swim permit!

On Friday of last week The Nation’s Triathlon received the signed swim permit granting permission for triathletes to swim in the Potomac River on race day. As long as mother cooperates and keeps the rains away we will host a historic first-time ever swim! Thanks to the triathlon community for sticking with us and to the more than 1,000 triathletes who’ve already registered for the race. To see a copy of the swim permit visit our website at www.thenationstriathlon.com.

We are 75% full so hurry up and register before the race closes out!

kudo’s the race directors and organizers for pulling off this monumental accomplishment. so now, just like in every triathlon i do, i know the weather now controls the swim. i am super psyched to race in DC, my backyard. thanks again.

so the swim permit was the last hurdle right? are there any other suprises that would keep us from swimming?

The swim permit was the last hurdle preventing us from swimming in the river. Just like in other triathlons mother nature controls fate now.
